The final countdown to Access 2013…

With just over a week before all intrastate access charges become effective, it appears many carriers are holding their changes until the last minute.  Based on supported CCMI carriers; IA, MD, ME, AL, SC and OH have reported over 50% of their filings.   Forty-two states are below 30% complete with MA, VT and WV not filing any access transmittals within their respected PUC.

In Alaska, CCMI is seeing a lot of activity and revisions.  As of 6/21, Alaskan service providers have filed 12 access transmittals along with 26 revisions.  Carriers are filing two versions of their access transmittals; one with the access rates and the other with the NECA reference.  A decision should be made by the RCA within the week.

In addition to Alaska’s activity be sure to monitor Florida, Per Rule 25-4.0161 the Florida Public Service Commission has opened up a compliance investigation for failure to file compliance documentation.  To see the notice please click here
