Intrastate access filings up nearly 600% and rising

The next deadline in the FCC’s order to reform intercarrier compensation rates (Order 90-10) is looming. By July 1, 2012, LECs must file tariffs to reduce terminating intrastate rates to ½ of the difference between intrastate and interstate rates.

As a result, intrastate access filings are up nearly 600% as compared to 2011 filings for the same time period.

We’ve catalogued more than 230 filings in TelView, as of June 1; and many, many more are expected in the next three weeks. It’s more important than ever that you have an easy way to monitor these transmittals and quickly assess their impact on your business.

TelView’s intuitive search and tracking features make this daunting task easier.

You should be aware that a handful of states required carriers to file the information early. We’ve compiled some key information below to help you get a handle on the activity that’s already occurred.
