Illinois – Public Utilities Act Section 13-501 allowing for certain services to be detariffed pursuant to Illinois Public Act 98-45, effective July 1, 2013

Effective July 1, 2013 the Public Utilities Act Section 13-501 is amended to allow for certain services to be filed by telecommunications carriers either through tariffs filed with the Commission or in a written offering provided on the carriers website. If a tariff is withdrawn, either entirely or partially, written notification must be provided to the Commission along with a website address that identifies where the services can now be found.

Effective September 1, 2013 the Texas Universal Service Fund (TUSF) surcharge will be reduced from the current rate of 4.3% to 3.7%.
