INTRASTATE ACCESS CHARGE PROCEEDINGS

The Michigan Public Service Commission (PSC) has determined that the intrastate switched toll access rate restructuring mechanism, that is funded by “a mandatory monthly contribution of all providers of retail intrastate telecommunications services and all providers of commercial mobile service” has been exceeding its obligations. As a result, the commission has ordered a decrease in the contribution percentage from0.620% to 0.320%. This rate is to be applied first with the January 13, 2013 contribution.

The Wisconsin Public Service Commission announced the Universal Service Fund assessment for 2013. The new assessment to be applied to annual revenues is 0.02031 percent.
